Royal Oak Middle School (ROMS) drama students achieved significant recognition at the recent Drama Teachers of Southern California (DTASC) competition, a regional event that drew hundreds of middle school participants. The competition encompassed a wide range of performance categories, including dramatic and comedic monologues, scene work, and musical theater pieces. ROMS students distinguished themselves across multiple categories, earning several individual awards and contributing to the school's impressive 4th place overall finish.
In addition to their success at DTASC, a select group of ROMS drama students has been chosen to represent the region at the upcoming Stand Up 4 Arts event in Sacramento this March. This statewide event, which celebrates the importance of arts education, will provide the ROMS students with a platform to showcase their talents in dance, theater, and visual arts. The selection is a testament to the students' dedication and the quality of the ROMS drama program. The school community extends its congratulations to the students and wishes them continued success in their upcoming performance in Sacramento.
