District of Choice provides freedom of choice to families residing outside the Charter Oak Unified School District boundaries who wish to attend our remarkable schools for the 2025-2026 school year. No transfer or release necessary.

Dr. Kim will take the helm effective January 1, 2025. Dr. Jeffrey Jordan is slated to retire on December 31, 2024.

The Charter Oak Community is invited to provide input regarding the Superintendent search at a public forum on November 6 at 3:15 p.m.

John Espinoza has officially expressed his interest in serving as the Joint Member Appointee on the Personnel Commission Board. At the upcoming Personnel Commission meeting on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, Mr. Mark
Cook, Board of Trustee Appointee, and Ms. Sherry Pena, Employees’ Union Appointee, will publicly announce their support for Mr. Espinoza’s appointment as the Joint Commissioner Appointee.
